Organic aniseed comes from the Pimpinella Anisum plant which is native to the eastern Mediterranean & southwest Asian areas. It has an aromatic sweet liquorice-like flavour, similar in profile to spices such as star anise and fennel seeds.

How to Use:

Aniseed is sweet and very aromatic; the seeds can be used whole or ground to flavour teas or hot chocolates. They make a welcome addition to baked good both sweet or savoury. Frequently used in Indian cooking to flavour both curries and masala chai or as a digestive after meals.
