Our Journey So Far….

The Source Bulk Foods arrived in Canada in 2021. Charles Peronnin in Central Canada and Kristine and Michael Kuss in the west have been working with founder Paul Medeiros since 2019 to bring the zero-waste organic shopping experience to North America. Charles opened his first store in Toronto (Roncesvalles) in the Spring of 2021 and Michael and Kristine opened their first store in Vancouver (Kitsilano) in the Summer. As expected, the community has embraced The Source Bulk Foods with enthusiasm.

How will you support me and my business?

From the beginning we are there to support you as you build your business including locating the ideal site, designing the store and fixtures, and managing the fit-out project. We will train you in all aspects of running a The Source Bulk Foods during our in-store Discovery Week including customer service, product filling and cleaning processes, ordering and inventory management, staff rostering, back of house operations and more. As opening day nears we will be there with you and the team to prepare the store while providing training to the team on handling the products and the day to day store operations. Then as the doors open and we welcome your first customers we are on site beside you to make sure everything is running smoothly.

After open we continue to support our Franchise Partners with on-going Training, Product Support, Marketing and Operations. All stores receive regular Quality Reviews and where required we work with you to optimise the performance of your team and the store.

How much does it cost?

To open a The Source Bulk Foods store you will need an available investment budget of around $350k. Each one of our stores is unique depending on the site, so the final amount may change, though we have certain brand elements we require in each store that we believe make our stores special. It is possible to finance part of the cost of opening your store though a minimum capital amount will need to be contributed by you.
