1. Nutritional addition to dishes
Spirulina can be added to juices, smoothies and cereals. It can also be used to flavour dishes such as soups, salads and sauces. The flavour of spirulina is quite similar to nori seaweed, but it can easily be masked by other strong flavours like pineapple.
The recommended serving of spirulina is 1/2 to 2 teaspoons a day.
2. Boosts energy
Give your body a ‘wake up call’ with spirulina! Try mixing 1 teaspoon of spirulina powder with a generous squeeze of lime juice and freezing the mixture for a healthy boost. This can help to awaken and revitalise the senses.
