Magnesium chloride flakes are harvested from the Dead Sea in the Middle East, the deepest hyper-saline lake in the world, reaching deep into the earths’ crust where ancient minerals deposits are still abundant. Soaking in a bath of magnesium salts has been shown to markedly improve skin hydration, speed wound healing, enhance skin barrier function, and decrease inflammation.

Magnesium chloride flakes are suitable for bath, foot soak or spray. Add 2 – 3 cups of magnesium chloride flakes to warm bath water, soaking for a minimum of 20 minutes. It’s common for your skin to tingle a little bit as you first enter into the magnesium water, this is your capillaries dilating as magnesium chloride is a vasodilator.

Research suggests very hot bath water encourages excretion rather than absorption.

In cases of severe magnesium depletion, increase the amount and frequency until magnesium levels are increased to an acceptable reference range.
