When the Golden Milk is steamy, but not boiling, pour into a cup and stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil and half a teaspoon of honey (or more if you like it sweeter!). Golden Milk (Golden Mylk) Is Liquid Gold!

Have you heard about Golden Milk? It’s the latest health trend with a cult following and rightly so.
Golden Milk, which is also called turmeric milk, golden mylk (the “y” is health-speak for non-cow milk), turmeric latte, golden latte or even dirty golden, is pure liquid gold!!

This ancient Ayurvedic drink is one of the best ways to incorporate turmeric into your daily diet.
Golden Milk is actually a really delicious, restorative and warming drink. It’s perfect at night to warm you up and wind you down or in the morning as a caffeine free kickstarter. Either way you feel like you are drinking a golden cup of goodness!

INGREDIENTS

Turmeric Paste:
6 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
150 – 200 ml water
1/3 tsp ground black pepper

 

Golden milk:
1 tsp turmeric paste
1 cup + 3 tbsp unsweetened plant milk (I use coconut milk)
About 1/3 – 1/2 tsp ground cardamom (to taste)
1/2 tsp liquid vanilla extract
1 tsp virgin coconut oil
1/2 tsp raw honey
pinch of cayenne pepper
pinch of black pepper
